Anthony Odoardi
Anthony Odoardi, Deputy Chief, Peel Regional Police (PRP), began his career in 1995 with the Halton Regional Police where he worked across numerous aspects of the organization and was focused on leading a number of strategic and innovative policing initiatives including the creation of Canada’s first Public Safety Broadband Network (PSBN). In 2015, Anthony served as a Security Commander for the Pan AM Games and currently sits on the Board of Directors for RADIUS Child and Youth Services.

In June 2020, Anthony joined PRP as Deputy Chief and is responsible for Innovation, Infrastructure and Technology Command.  Anthony hit the ground running by initiating PRP’s Digital Officer Transformation Program with a vision of becoming one of North America’s most progressive and innovative police services. Anthony is also currently serving as the Managing Director of the PSBN Innovation Alliance (PIA). The PIA aims to provide a reliable, cost effective and cyber-secure data communications network to all first responders and critical infrastructure partners across Canada. Deputy Chief Odoardi is also serving as Chair of the Interagency Advisory Panel for Next Generation-911 on behalf of the Ontario Association Chiefs of Police and is leading the PRP / Ontario Human Rights Commission project that is focused on identifying and eliminating systemic discrimination in policing.  Anthony is a a recipient of the Order of Merit of Police Forces (M.O.M.)


Heath Newton
Delta Police Department (DPD) Acting Superintendent Heath Newton (A/Supt Newton) is a 28-year veteran of policing in British Columbia. A/Supt Newton has had a varied career, having worked in Patrol, ERT, Drug Section, Major Crime Section, Strike Force (Robbery / Surveillance), Forensic Identification Section and Professional Standards Section.

Within his career, A/Supt Newton was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, Staff Sergeant and eventually commissioned into the rank of Inspector before assuming his current assignment as the acting Superintendent and Officer in Charge (OIC) of the Community Policing Bureau (CPB) of the DPD. The DPD CPB includes Patrol, Investigative Services Section and the Community Policing Section, which has an operational strength of approximately 165 sworn members and six non-sworn support staff members.

A/Supt Newton has spent a large amount of his career in investigative sections, where he gained significant experience in the investigation of homicides organized crime and other serious offences, culminating in A/Supt Newton receiving a British Columbia Major Case Management (MCM) Team Commander designation in 2018.


Ron Anderson
Ron has been with the Edmonton Police Service as the Chief Innovation and Technology Officer since 2019 and presently oversees the Innovation and Information Bureau which includes Information Technology Division and Information & Analytics Division. Prior to his current role, Ron was an Assistant Deputy Minister at Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Corrections and Policing. He has also served on the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police Information Communications & Technology Committee for 16 years and on the Statistics Canadian Criminal Justice Statistics Liaison Committee for 7 years representing the province of Saskatchewan. Ron has worked in the private sector in the Information Technology field and with the Prince Albert Police Service.

Ron is an active community member both locally and internationally through his volunteer work and as a board member for the Missing Children Society of Canada.
