Toronto Police Service releases results of Project FOCUS

July 5, 2024, Toronto, Ont. – This morning, the Toronto Police Service released the results of Project FOCUS, which commenced on Nov. 20, 2023, and concluded on July 1. This project was conducted by members of 55 Division in response to community concerns about street-level criminal activity. Specific areas were targeted based on reported crime data.

Through the use of various strategies, Project FOCUS successfully addressed community issues.

The following are the results of Project FOCUS:

  • Liquor Licence Enforcement Checks – 95
  • Liquor Licence Charges Against Establishments – 16
  • Wanted People Arrested – 46
  • Parties Arrested For Drug Offences – 27
  • Total Arrests – 73

  • Cocaine – 1,556.52 grams
  • Fentanyl – 610.08 grams
  • Methamphetamine – 5,063.21 grams
  • Oxycodone – 439.71 grams
  • Psilocybin Mushroom – 5,063.21 grams

This project was co-designed and co-developed with the community to improve community safety and well-being.
