Timmins Police launch online reporting

May 16, 2024, Timmins, Ont. – The Timmins Police Service has announced a significant enhancement in public safety and community engagement with the launch of Online Incident Reporting, a software program for promptly and securely reporting non-emergency crimes. Its goal is to modernize how non-emergency crimes such as property theft, vandalism and dangerous driving are reported in Timmins, making it safer, faster and more efficient for residents to contribute to community safety.

Developed in partnership with Rubicon, Online Incident Reporting provides the convenience of reporting non-emergency incidents directly via smartphone or computer. This initiative aims to optimize data for interoperability and actionable insights, streamlining workflows to allow frontline officers to focus on emergency responses and high-priority cases.

Features include:

  • Community engagement: Enables residents to report non-emergency situations anytime, from anywhere, ensuring each concern is documented and reviewed.
