Ontario police leaders discuss challenges in new survey

June 10, 2024, Toronto, Ont. – Throughout the Spring of 2024, StrategyCorp initiated a survey of 20 of Ontario’s policing leaders to learn their perspectives on the challenges being faced by communities and what is being done to make them safer.

“Participants represented a wide variety of police services, from the largest to the smallest, from those that are relatively stable in size to those that are growing rapidly,” stated StrategyCorp.

Key themes emerged, including:

• Challenges related to the public safety threats facing the community
• Challenges related to resourcing the police service
• The challenge of good governance
