From August 11 to 13, the 119th Annual Summit and Trade Show hosted by the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP) brought together policing leaders and vendors from across the country in the scenic city of Halifax, N.S. The trade show floor was bustling with over 100 booths, showcasing 250 exhibitors and attracting 450 attendees.

Blue Line was proud to be among the exhibitors, engaging in meaningful conversations with everyone we met. It was a pleasure to reconnect with old friends and make new ones throughout the event.

The conference hosted sessions focusing on a variety of topics, including:

  • Strategic intelligence briefing and enhancing global security through Five Eyes collaboration
  • Leadership in public order management, and strategies for effective response to demonstrations and protests
  • Leading through adversity and police leaders’ lived experiences in crisis management
  • Exploring the AI revolution and how AI is transforming society
  • What we talk about when we talk about the Middle East
  • Policing pulse and the latest trends
  • Leveraging technology for public order, event and incident management
  • Honouring the fallen and enhancing police officer safety and well-being
  • Policing in Canada and the future of the RCMP

Throughout the event, CACP handed out several awards, including:
